Simon heard that Tryphon had gathered together a mighty army to come into the land of Judah and destroy it utterly.
καὶ ἤκουσεν Σιμων ὅτι συνήγαγεν Τρύφων δύναμιν πολλὴν τοῦ ἐλθεῖν εἰς γῆν Ιουδα καὶ ἐκτρῖψαι αὐτήν
ܘܫܡܥ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܕܟܢܫ ܛܪܝܦܘܢ ܚܝܠܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܢܐܬܐ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܝܗܘܕ ܘܢܥܛܝܗ
Et audivit Simon quod congregavit Tryphon exercitum copiosum ut veniret in terram Juda, et attereret eam.
