Gorgias took five thousand infantry, a thousand chosen cavalry, and the army moved out at night,
καὶ παρέλαβεν Γοργίας πεντακισχιλίους ἄνδρας καὶ χιλίαν ἵππον ἐκλεκτήν καὶ ἀπῆρεν ἡ παρεμβολὴ νυκτὸς
